Chelsea reward Cole Palmer with improved contract until 2034

Chelsea have rewarded playmaker Cole Palmer with an improved contract that will keep him at the club until 2034.

The 24-year-old England international was previously under contract with the Premier League side until 2033 but has been handed improved terms following his performances as one of Chelsea’s key attacking players.

The new deal is the latest in a series of contract extensions by Chelsea as the club seeks to reward established and emerging players while maintaining its wage structure.

Joao Pedro signed a contract extension until 2034 in August, while Pedro Neto agreed to a new six-year deal last month.

Palmer has played more minutes than any other Chelsea player this season but missed England’s recent international break.

England manager Thomas Tuchel expressed concern over the midfielder’s availability, saying he “misses too many opportunities”.a
